The Lexington Police Department is searching for a subject wanted for a strong arm robbery incident at Kohls over the weekend.

During the afternoon September 23, a loss prevention associate for Kohls observed Veronica Latrice Bailey, age 32 of Winnsboro, South Carolina, select numerous items of children’s clothing and walk into a fitting room. The associate could hear Bailey removing tags from the clothing and when exiting the fitting room noticed her purse was visibly larger than before. The was familiar with Bailey as she had been involved in numerous past shoplifting incidents at Kohls.

As Bailey was walking out of the store, the loss prevention associate asked her to return the merchandise. She turned around while standing in the parking lot and pepper sprayed the associate in her face. As the associate was attempting to get the license plate number of the vehicle that Bailey was getting into to leave, she turned around and pepper sprayed the associate again in the face.

The Lexington Police Department has an arrest warrant for Veronica Latrice Bailey for Strong Arm Robbery.
