On March 6 the Lexington County Republican Party will host its bi-annual Reorganization Meeting for all Lexington County precincts. There are 96 voting precincts in the county; any registered voter residing in the county can attend.

The purpose of the meeting is to elect new precinct officers and delegates to the Lexington County Convention, which takes place April 22. The precinct meeting is the first step in electing delegates and submitting resolutions to the South Carolina GOP State Convention, which takes place May 13.

Note the following dates and locations (each precinct will reorganize individually):

Reorganization Meeting: 6:30-8 pm March 6 at River Bluff High School, Main Entrance – 320 Corley Mill Road, Lexington.

Reorganization Make Up Meeting: 10 am – noon March 18 at Lexington Main Library, Conference Room 1 – 5440 Augusta Road, Lexington.

“There’s no requirement for having been active in the party previously,” says Craig Caldwell, Chair of the Lexington County GOP. “If you’re ready to take a more active role in local government, your local precinct meeting is the place to start. All you have to do is show up.”
