Republican Bryan Clifton has visited 2,000 homes in his bid for the District 85 State House seat.

Clifton knocked on his 2,000th door on Monday afternoon. He hopes to visit 3,000 homes by the June 14 Republican Primary.

He’s focused on personally speaking with voters on their door step, which he said gives voters an opportunity to offer input on issues.

“This approach allows me to listen to people’s views and concerns,” he said. “And it shows them I’m willing to work hard to earn their vote.”

Clifton, a local businessman, is running on a platform of government reform. He has pledged to push for term limits for members of the Legislature, and to serve no more than six years if elected.
