Based on the Governor of South Carolina declaring a State of Emergency and recent guidelines provided by the CDC and DHEC regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, the Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has decided to reschedule their Annual Meeting, originally scheduled for April 3, 2020. The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date.

“The Governor, the CDC, and the DHEC strongly recommend canceling meetings and gatherings involving more than one hundred (100) people,” said Bob Paulling. “As the health and safety of our membership are paramount to us, we believe that postponing the meeting is in the best interest of everyone. The Board of Directors and I thank you for your
understanding.”

In addition, state governmental agencies are advising the public to take immediate measures in helping prevent further spreading. Not only should gatherings of large groups be avoided, anyone 65 or older or with a chronic medical condition should avoid public gatherings.
