Knights of Columbus Council 6892, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, will hold its annual Operation HOPE fundraising campaign for Mentally Challenged Citizens, between the months of August and October.

The annual fundraiser will consist of the Knights of Columbus members doing their annual Tootsie Roll campaign, where they will be asking for donations, while standing in front of various grocery stores in the Irmo and Columbia areas.

The annual fundraising campaign will begin with a fundraising breakfast at the Fatz Cafe at 7492 Broad River Road in Irmo August 11 from 7:30-10:30 am. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children seven to 10 years old, children six years of age and younger eat for free. Tickets may be purchased in advance, or at the door.

Operation HOPE is an annual national campaign for the Mentally Challenged, that is put on by the Knights of Columbus. The funds raised stay in the local community. The money raised by the council at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic will church will benefit The South Carolina Special Olympics, Camp Talk for Autistic Students, and Pendergrass-Fairwold School, located at 5935 Token Street, in Richland County School District One.
