Seniors citizens in the Lexington-Richland School District Five community are invited to attend the 6th annual Goodwill Brunch.
The event will take place at the Center for the Arts at Irmo High School International School for the Arts December 6 from 10 am – 12 pm and will include student performances.
“We seek every opportunity to celebrate and connect with our community. The annual Goodwill Brunch allows us to bring the community together and into Irmo High School to showcase the generosity, talent, and giving spirit of our outstanding students,” said Irmo High principal Dr. Robin Hardy.
Through a partnership with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission, guests will be served a meal and treated with performances from the school’s Master Class Orchestra, Honors Theater students, Jazz band, the Stingette Dance Team, World Percussion Ensemble and more.
“The Goodwill Brunch has been one of our most popular events hosted at Irmo High School. Our guests range from school retirees, local community members & leaders, and our very special elderly community, who absolutely looks forward to this event each year,” said school secretary and coordinator of the event Marilyn Johnson.
Irmo High School Student Body Vice President Cambridge Dantzler looks forward to hosting the event to show his appreciation for those who share their pride and support of the school.
“The Goodwill Brunch gives us students the phenomenal opportunity to honor and serve our community. We’re able to show gratitude to those who continually pour their faith into us and our scholastic community,” Dantzler said.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by Friday, November 30, 2018, by contacting Kim Bowers, Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission, at 803-772-3336 or Marilyn Johnson, Irmo High School, at 803-476-3011.
