Farm Bureau Insurance agents in Irmo donated $8,370 to Sharing God’s Love, a food bank serving Irmo and surrounding communities, to help meet the increased demand for assistance due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Agency Manager Tommy Morin and agents Jeff Burgey, Mac Warzecha, Stacey Sizemore, and Alex Satterfield presented a check to executive director Shari Selke April 24.
“With so many struggling more than ever to feed their families, we are honored to do our part to offer some relief to our communities in this time of crisis,” said Morin.
Farm Bureau Insurance is donating a total of $300,000 to be distributed to food banks all across South Carolina. Each Farm Bureau Insurance office is selecting a local food bank to assist in an effort to reach as many people as possible.
In addition to the food bank donation, Farm Bureau Insurance has announced a two-month premium credit will be provided to auto insurance customers. For more information about the company’s COVID-19 response, visit www.SCFBIns.com/covid-19.
