Lay’misha S. Watson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Watson is the daughter of September Coffee of Irmo, and Donald L. Watson of Cheraw, step-daughter of David J. Quattlebaum of Irmo, granddaughter of Sarah F. Watts-Watson of Cheraw, Linda D. Quattlebaum of Irmo, and Rosa M. Coffee of Duncan, and niece of Keisha M. Friday of Duncan.
She is a 2012 graduate of Irmo High School, Irmo. She earned an associate degree in 2014 from ECPI University, Columbia.
